New York Magazine seeks a Production Coordinator to handle advertising production for both the print and tablet versions of the weekly magazine. Responsibilities include trafficking all print ad files uploaded to the magazine’s ad portal; confirming that the file specifications are correct; checking that the supplied material matches the order instructions; and processing material for the custom iPad edition, including any required enhancements. The position has rotating responsibility for creating the issue map and supporting the weekly close on Friday nights.

– Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external clients;
– Strong oral and written communication skills;
– Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and stay calm under pressure.
A working knowledge is required of Mac and PC platforms plus Microsoft Office Suite and InDesign. Experience with pre-flighting programs, ad portals, and production layout software, is a plus.
